About the event

Parking : 34°16'02.4"N 118°04'17.4"W (Google Maps)

There is abundant, legal, parking – super nearby, no pass needed – on this overlook right off the 2. You can also park right next to the trail head ! That's where I'll be

Exact Meeting Spot: (10 minute walk from parking) 34°15'58.0"N 118°04'12.5"W (Google Maps)

Precautions (please read)

There is no cell service once entering the forest. You can download a map of the forest in Google Maps or Apple Maps by selecting anywhere then clicking "download" (this is located within the 3 dots menu of google maps), which will allow navigation and routing with GPS offline. For a more detailed map, you can subscribe to the Gaia GPS app.

Wildlife: While this location is not somewhere where an encounter is likely at all, we are in a group, and I carry bear spray – just in case ;)

Fire Safety: While I do use a stove with a contained flame to boil the water, I also carry a bottle of organic fire extinguisher for the worst-case scenario.

Attire: Nature can be quite brutal, I recommend wearing shoes with good traction, for steep dusty trails, and pants or gaiters to protect your legs from scratchy plants surrounding thin trails

Join us for some early Sunday Morning Tea on this hillside surrounded by rolling mountains of Gabrielino Wilderness. During these meetings we meet with 3 teas matching the mood, and sit with them through multiple steeps, observing their evolutions – most importantly, this is a space to chat and relax with one another. Because of the communal nature of these meetings – seasoned tea veterans and tea newbies with a thirst to know more are both welcomed, I'm sure we can all learn something !

For the morning tea, expect one Chinese Green tea, one lightly oxidized Oolong, and one Pu-erh (forest vibes)

In order to preserve the intimacy of these events, there is a total of 8 tickets available per meeting
